Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy located in Brighton is hiring a Full Time High School Spanish Teacher . Must have a teacher certification and endorsement. $1,000 signing bonus. Charyl Stockwell Academy (CSA) District is a public school academy that serves approximately 1,250 students Kindergarten through High School. Since opening its doors in 1996, the CSA District has received the earned distinction as a School of Excellence due to its academic achievement, and is ranked in the top 10% of all public schools in the state of Michigan. The student population of the CSA District reflects small, balanced mixed-ability classrooms, including students that are academically gifted. Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons and a dynamic learning environment while fostering a love for the Spanish language and culture. The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience. Responsibilities Develop and deliver high-quality Spanish language instruction to students Incorporate cultural activities and resources to enhance language learning and promote an appreciation of Spanish-speaking cultures. Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations. Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives. Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution. Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff Regular and predictable attendance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, Linguistics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan for secondary education with an endorsement in the subject. Proficiency in Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.
